University of Washington

The Operation Smile Chapter at University of Washington is relatively new. We had a chapter going on campus that died down over COVID, and we had just picked things back up in the 2021-2022 school year. In this school year, which is our second year back, our officer team has worked to plan and execute many meetings, fundraisers, and volunteering opportunities.Our general meetings focus on spreading awareness about the organization and our mission and providing an opportunity for our members to play games and mingle, our fundraisers include ticketed events as well as selling items. We have also done workshops with guest speakers including Dr. Susan Coldwell, the Associate Dean for Student Life and Admissions at the UWSOD and a current UW student who has previously gotten cleft lip treatment from Operation Smile. As a participating school of ULEAD in the past year, we are very excited to be a part of ULEAD this year as well!
